Matthew E. Schmidt, M.D.
Matthew E. Schmidt, M.D., practices Comprehensive Ophthalmology. He provides medical, surgical, and routine eye care (glasses and contact lenses) to patients of all ages. Dr. Schmidt performs cataract and refractive surgery – Lasik.
Dr. Schmidt graduated, Cum Laude, from Loyola University and completed his medical studies there. He completed his internship at Loyola University Medical Center followed by his Ophthalmology residency at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Schmidt is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology, and the Chicago Medical Society.
Dr. Schmidt performs surgery at Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital, Palos Hospital Surgery Center, Tinley Woods Surgery Center, and Kraff Eye Institute in Chicago.
