F. James Neher, OD
F. James Neher, OD is a board-certified Doctor of Optometry, who provides comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages. He has a special interest in glaucoma, contact lens fitting, dry eye disease, and urgent care issues. Dr. Neher graduated from Carleton College in Northfield, MN with a degree in biology and biochemistry. He then attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL, where he graduated cum laude with clinical honors. Finally, he completed his residency training at the Illinois Eye Institute in ocular disease and primary eye care. He is a member of the American Academy of Opometry and Illinois Optometric Association. In addition, Dr. Neher is an adjunct faculty member at the Illinois College of Optometry, where he provides clinical instruction to future eyecare professionals. In his free-time, he enjoys fishing all over the Midwest and traveling with his wife.
